Fresh from his elevation to the Moonee Valley Cricket Club Hall of Fame in February, Darren Nagle received another massive accolade at our Presentation Night - the revered Lindsay Jones Best Clubman award.
Spud was blind-sided by the honor at the March 28 dinner, announced by his great mate John Talone - the two of them ran our club jointly for 12 years from 1993/94 as President/Secretary.

Darren could easily have eased off after stepping down from the job of leading the club, but instead took on new tasks - piloting a group of talented youngsters right through the junior ranks from Under 10s to adulthood, and then taking on his current role - coach of our Women's team.
Around 70 players, supporters and family members attended the Presentation Night dinner at our Ormond Park pavilion.
Tony Gleeson, a First Eleven premiership player, Premiership coach and club coach across three separate stints, was awarded Life Membership.

In another highlight of the night, Hayden Rayner was the runaway winner in our Club Champion award, winning by a massive 491 points. Hayden also took out the First Eleven batting and fielding awards.
Chand Shrestha won the Sean O'Kane Award - best player for all grades other than the Firsts - winning by 26 points from Thirds teammate Ammy Kahlon with Lachlan Smith another 35 points away in third place.
Firsts gloveman Oscar McKeown received his Wicketkeeper of the Year award from fellow keeper Allan Cumming - Oscar following in the footsteps of his father Geoff.
Jordy Walsh won the Most Improved Player trophy - the Coach's Award - while Fourths premiership player Dean Jukic was honored as Player of the Finals.
