Training at Ace Karts: Tuesday, January 25
by
Moonee Valley Cricket Club will be taking a different tack (or track) on training on Tuesday, January 25. We're going to spend the evening whizzing around the track at the venue of our major sponsor, Ace Karts.
Coach Lou Raffaele has declared that this is an official training event, so there will be NO SENIOR TRAINING at Ormond Park that evening. Training is at Ace Karts.
The company has done an excellent deal for Moonee Valley Cricket Club, with $40 giving people a 10-minute warm-up and then a full 20 minutes of racing.
The night starts at 6pm at Ace Karts, at 20 Carrington Dve. Sunshine, just off the Western Ring Rd.
We will be organising some pizza, soft drinks and beer, so we will all be able to buy something to eat and to wash it down.
Up to 22 drivers can compete at any given time, so we can run a couple of divisions to give us all a good go.
Players need to provide a $10 deposit, and Lou will be chasing around at training over the next week or two to collect the money. It's a compulsory training session to support one of our major sponsors, so there will be nothing happening at Ormond Park.
By the time everyone registers at the venue and we have our safety brief, we can be racing by 6.30pm. The night will finish around 8pm - just like a normal training session.
Lou has kindly said the players can drive laps, rather than run them on this night.
We can carpool there to make things more efficient.
To confirm your attendance, ring Lou Raffaele on 0450 181 948 or send him an email on lou.raffaele@bmwmelbourne.com.au
