Wedding bells for ex-skipper Andy
by
Former Fourth Eleven captain Andrew Walker and his long-time partner Fiona Middleton were married at Hamilton Island on Saturday, March 11.
Andrew, who was captain of the Fourths in the 2004/05 season, was in his third season at Moonee Valley.
A serious knee injury conspired to wreck his 2005/06 after the first two games, but he would have faced a quandary anyhow - with the wedding being on the first week of the finals.
History shows that the Fourths didn't make the finals action - but nephew Murray Walker had to choose between the nuptials and playing for the Thirds in the semi-final against Coolaroo. Muz chose the cricket.
Fiona has been spotted around the Club on a regular basis, attending functions and taking her turn running the canteen on match days.
Andy is already talking about the 2006/07 season after recovering from his knee injury, but thinks a few more games in the one-day grades may fit in more conveniently with his schedule.
Andy and Fiona have bought a house in Coburg, and will move across from their current digs in North Essendon a bit later in the year.
