Shiwantha's Engagement

by

At the engagement party.Congratulations to Moonee Valley overseas First Class player Shiwantha Kumara and his partner Melissa Johnstone on their engagement on New Year's Eve.
Shiv and Melissa were joined by family and friends for the engagement at her family farm at Ecklin South, near Warrnambool, for the dual celebration.
They plan to marry in Sri Lanka in 2021.
Shiv is into his second season at Moonee Valley and is a key player in our First Eleven push this year.
Melissa and Shiwantha were actually in Sri Lanka together in 2018 when the news came through from our Club of Shiv's successful sports visa application.
A photo of that moment - which enabled Shiv and Melissa to continue their relationship in Australia - was on a memento board at the engagement.
President Charlie Walker and wife Adele represented our club at the engagement.
Congratulations to Shiwantha and Melissa from all of us at Moonee Valley.
