Our condolences to Simon Thornton

The Moonee Valley Cricket Club committee, players, parents and supporters extend their condolences to our Vice President Simon Thornton on the passing of his father.

Simon's father passed away in England this afternoon, Melbourne time.

Simon expects to fly home early next week for the funeral.

He also flew back home to England in the pre-season, when his father became ill.

Simon was selected for our Seconds this weekend, but has withdrawn from the team. Our thoughts are with you, mate.
