Milestones keep rolling in the Fourths

Three-time Premiership player Sam Carbone has brought up his 150-game milestone at Moonee Valley.
Playing in the Round 21 game v Power House on March 5, it was only fitting that Sam finished the game at the crease with fellow milestone man Maks Rahman – playing his 50th.

Our milestone men were together at the crease when we brought up the win: Sam Carbone (right) and Maks Rahman. They came together at 4/88, and put on their unbroken 44-run partnership as Moonee Valley motored to the target of 128 – all the while having an eye on the weather.
The big win propelled Moonee Valley to the top of the C Sunday ladder, displacing Power House from that spot.

Sam “The Surgeon” Carbone first played for Moonee Valley in 2012/13, after playing against us over several seasons. He liked what he saw of our club, and decided he wanted to be part of us.
He’s scored more than 3000 runs and is deceptive with the ball – with 23 wickets to his name from the occasions when he does get to roll the arm over.
Sam’s 3173 runs, including four centuries, puts him 29th on our all-time runs list.
Maks is a more recent arrival at Moonee Valley, racking up his 50 games since his debut in 2020/21.
He’s already scored 1150 runs, including five half-centuries.
With the Fourths well-placed in the finals, both Sam and Maks are vital players. Keep up the good work!
