Message for Juniors parents

This is an update about upcoming events. 

Firstly, thank-you to all reregistered and newly registered families to Moonee Valley CC. I appreciate your support of Moonee Valley CC.

When to start training:  in  September with sessions at Ormond Park We will run net sessions and fielding. After the 1st training I will follow up with an information session for parents on junior cricket immedately after.

U14s are set for Tuesdays at 5pm until 6.30pm or until sunset in pre season.

U12s are set for Wednesdays at 5pm to 6.30pm or until sunset in pre season. 

U10s are set for Wednesdays 5pm to 6pm. 

Training will run through the September school holidays.

Last season's U12s and up playing shirts will be used again for the playing group. These are the black based limited overs playing shirts that our club adopted for both U12 and up and senior teams. If you have one of these shirts in decent condition it can swapped with other players if you have outgrown yours. Our club has some of the larger size shirts available. So if your son/daughter has outgrown their shirts you can list and exchange the shirt at our club by getting in touch with me. Our club also ordered more new playing shirts including U10s sizes design in 25/26.

Playing shirts are the only required tops for match play. Our players can train in casual clothes. We will not enforce a training uniform. Protective equipment is compulsory for specific cricket tasks as well. U10s have shared kits as a reminder. 

Our merch team can offer club baseball style caps for about $30 and hoodies for about $50-$55.  These are popular with our senior players and we will have a limited number of junior sizes  from our supplier that can be purchased separately through our club shop if you are interested. 

We will have some limited second-hand equipment for sale at competitive prices. A few families have contacted me already and I noted you reached out. Consideration will be based on order of contacting me until equipment is exhausted. 

U10s have a shared kit for most equipment and sizes for most second-hand gear suits U12s and up.

If you have some equipment for our club to consider we could arrange an exchange.
