Jesse's amazing spell

Jesse Felle returned the third-best bowling figures in Moonee Valley history - but there was no early indication of the carnage he would wreak on the opposition batsmen.

Playing at home at Ormond Park in the Sixths against Sydenham Hillside on December 14, Jesse was off the mark when he opened the bowling.

He only lasted a handful of overs, and ended his short spell without a wicket.

Sydenham Hillside got to 1/92, and went in to tea well satisfied with the team performance.

But captain Danny Terzini brought a rejuvenated Jesse back on after the break, and he was like a whirlwind.

Jesse's figures after tea were 8/19 as Sydenham Hillside was bowled out for 139, and Jesse's innings figures after his slow start were 8/29.

Jesse played his 100th game for Moonee Valley earlier this season, and has taken more than 210 wickets.
