Get well, John P
by
We're pleased to report that John Petropoulos is feeling no lasting ill-effects from his spectacular catch and fall when playing for the Mighty Fighting Sixths on October 26.
John took a great catch close to the boundary to dismiss Ascot Vale's top scorer, but hit his head heavily as he came to ground - but the trouper that he is, John held on to the ball.
He came off Ormond Park feeling a bit sore and disoriented, then got a trip to hospital courtesy of the ambulance service when he had memory problems.
John's had his hospital stay and the appropriate tests, and his doctor has ordered him not to play cricket for a fortnight. By John's count, that means he'll be back on the Sunday after the Melbourne Cup.
John, who was recruited to Moonee Valley by friend and neighbor Allan Cumming, loves his cricket.
Now in his second season, John has played most grades from the Thirds down. See you back on the track soon!
