David's debut - senior wickets
by Charlie Walker
Moonee Valley Under 12s player David Lubansky answered the call when the club needed some last-minute recruits to fill out the senior Sixth Eleven team.
David took to the field against Reservoir-Mayston in the November 27 game, and didn't let the team or the club down.
We already knew of his skill with the ball from the juniors, and he was immediately on line and length to slow the Reservoir scoring.
He got his reward - a lofted shot was caught by Jackson Price at mid-off, then David removed middle peg a few balls later.
He finished with a very tidy 2/26 off six overs.
David was excellent in the field as well, being steady and reliable at square leg.
He was confident with the bat as well, making 2 before being caught.
David has put his hand up for more opportunities at the senior level, so we sure haven't seen the last of this young talent.
