Congratulations to Guy Walker

The Moonee Valley sends its congratulations to past player Guy Walker, who made his debut on December 19 for the Renegades in the Big Bash League.

Guy played for Moonee Valley from 2004 to 2008 - and is pictured here as a youngster in 2005.

In that time he played 50 junior games, amassing 907 runs @ 41.22 and taking 48 wickets @ 8.14.

When he was in Under 14s he played one senior game for us, hitting 12 against Gladstone Park and taking 4/33.

Guy has been playing Premier cricket for Footscray in recent seasons.

His father Lyndsay also did several seasons of specialist coaching at Moonee Valley, and advanced the careers of a number of players passing through our juniors.

Guy, 20, represented Australia in the Under 19 World Cup last year.
