Coach returns to Guyana
by
We bid farewell to former Moonee Valley coach Mark Grenville, who has returned to Guyana.
Mark, who coached Moonee Valley in 2018/19, flew out from Melbourne with wife Andrya on December 6.
He has been coaching Carnegie in Cricket Southern Bayside in recent seasons.
He has flown home for health treatment.
Mark, a qualified and experienced coach and administrator, played first class cricket for his country Guyana.
He was part of the Cricket Development Committee appointed by the Guyana Cricket Board in 2021 to propel the growth of Guyana’s cricket, focusing on school cricket, female cricket, youth cricket, senior cricket, cricket education, social development and facility development.
Mark's fellow appointees on the CDC included former West Indies Test players Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Roger Harper and Clyde Butts.
We wish Mark all the best.
