Rex Bennett
Rex is a past Club coach, leading the club for two years until the 2004/05 season.
A former District cricketer for Footscray, he is now coach of Premier team North Melbourne. Rex led Moonee Valley to a Grand Final in our first year in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association.
He has taken more than 50 wickets in our First Eleven.
Star of Footscray's only 1st XI Premiership win in 1979/80 with 6/37 against St Kilda in the Final.
Rex also maintained his close connection with Moonee Valley in 2005/06, captaining our Mid-Week Turf one day competition side.
