Twenty20 - we're into the finals

Our Moonee Valley West team has won through to the semi finals of the North West Metro Cricket Association Twenty20 competition, and our first final is Tuesday, February 14.

We're playing Strathmore Heights at their ground - the Boeing Reserve No. 3 oval, off Boeing Rd, Strathmore Heights.

The match starts at 5.30pm. The ground is Melways Map 16, D 5.

The Moonee Valley team is: Matt Thomas (capt), Mark Gauci, Nasir Ahmed, Ben Green, Amit Chaudhary, Ihtisham Uddin, Steve Nickelson, Sean O'Kane, Dean Lawson, Trent Milne, Craig Pridham, Evan Blythe.

Congratulations also to Stephen Ward and his Moonee Valley North team. They played excellent cricket throughout the six-match tournament, but unfortunately didn't make the top two in the grade.

Moonee Valley players and supporters should go along in strength to support our guys and urge them on. A win will take us through to the Grand Final.
