Pre-season fun day go-karting - Sunday, August 21

Moonee Valley Cricket Club has booked the Ace Karts go-karting venue in Albion for the afternoon of Sunday, August 21, and we are strongly urging all members to attend and use the occasion as a pre-season fun and bonding session.

Ace Karts is a major sponsor of our Club and is the shirt sponsor for our senior teams, so it's important that we demonstrate our support for them by attending.

We want all members to make the effort - particularly the players in the higher turf grades, who benefit directly from the sponsorship.

Players should arrive at 3.15pm at the venue, at 20 Carrington Dve, Albion. The $40 price includes a 10 minute qualifying session and then a 20 minute race - and anyone who attended the training night we held there during last season will affirm that that's more than enough time on the track.

We will run a barbecue after the race.

Go-karting is suitable for everyone at the Club - from the tearaway George Pearson, who won last time, through to Prez Charlie Walker, who whipped in the field about 10 laps off the pace.

It's also suitable for some of our higher age group juniors, such as Under 14s and Under 16s. If anyone has any queries on this, they can phone past coach Lou Raffaele on 0450 181 948.
