Peter & Dom represent Valleys
The Chiera family was well represented in the North West Cricket Association over the January holiday break.
Our young star Peter Chiera was selected as vice-captain of the NWCA team in the Russell Allen Shield, while father Domenic was the team manager.
Peter played a crucial role, particularly with the bat, in getting the NWCA team into the grand final, competing against associations from all over the metropolitan area.
Unfortunately the team came up short in the big match, but Peter did everything he could to try and get the team over the line.
Dom’s important role was also noted.
Moonee Valley Cricket Club junior co-ordinator Charlie Walker is also a member of the NWCA Junior Committee, and said he received wonderful feedback about the professional way in which Dom carried out his duties.
Well done to the Chieras.
