MOONEE VALLEY ON REPORT
Moonee Valley Cricket Club players and officials have featured prominently in the North West Cricket Association’s annual report, which was tabled at its AGM on July 3.
The annual report includes photos of representative team members, which include Valley’s Iraklis Kolokithas in the Keith Mackay Shield Under 16 team and Peter Chiera in the Josh Browne Plate Under 12 team.
The Under 12 team also included a photo of Lachlan Bell, who played one game at Moonee Valley at the start of the season before opting to return to his original club.
But the links to Moonee Valley are still strong. Lachlan’s father David was the team manager of the side.
David also played 11 games in Moonee Valley’s Sixth Eleven in 2005/06, and was a sponsor of our Club calendar.
Moonee Valley’s Thomas Memery was listed as the winner of the Under 12 F batting award with 235 runs @ 58.75.
The annual report included reports on the results of the grand finals, and our Under 12 G Grand Final listing included the individual efforts of Sean Ross, Michael Intagliata, David Heyes and Joshua Rennex.
The junior section of the annual report noted Moonee Valley’s hosting of the girls Cric-Hit program at Ormond Park before Christmas.
And finally Moonee Valley junior co-ordinator Charlie Walker, who is the NWCA’s Under 10 Co-ordinator, contributed a report for the annual report.
