Moonee Central - our school link brings results
by
A small but dedicated group of parents and supporters spent the October 6 and 7 weekend at the Moonee Ponds Central School, building a viewing platform which is of benefit to both our cricket club and the school.

Led by parent/player Dom Chiera, the volunteers - joined by Mark Finn, who despite having no direct link to the cricket club worked tirelessly for the weekend - the structure took shape before our eyes.
Shown here are members of the working group (from left) Paul Comino, Charlie Walker, Phill King, Dom Chiera, Kevin Gardiner, Peter Fenaughty and Mark Finn - about half way through the project.
The structure is a valuable elevated platform for the scorers for our Under 12 White team, which plays its home games at Moonee Ponds Central thanks to the excellent long-term relationship we have with the school.
And during the week, it's a focus for the students during their lunch hour, and somewhere they can bring the children together for outdoor assemblies.
