Cricket called off for October 16/17 weekend - exception is Sunday cricket

by

****Details will be posted if there is any change to the Sunday games.

VTCA has called off cricket for this weekend for our Firsts and Seconds.

MMVCA called off its turf grades for the weekend - our Thirds and Fifths; and then followed up by calling off its matting grades - our Sixths, Sevenths and Eighths.

The Under 10s and other Friday night games have been called off for Friday, October 15, and all junior cricket for Saturday has been called off.

We have Under 14 and Under 12 teams fixtured for Sunday, and at this stage they are still playing.

The NWCA has also called off its Saturday matting grades - our Fourths and Tenths; while our Ninths may still play because it is a Sunday grade.

To check on our other grades - our juniors playing Sunday, and our senior Ninths due to play Sunday, watch this website or ring the NWCA weather line, 9539 4844.

The MMVCA weather line is 9517 1297.

Moonee Valley Cricket Club senior players and supporters will be gathering in the back bar of the Union Hotel, Cnr Union and Maribyrnong Rds, Ascot Vale on Saturday now that our local associations have made the decision to cancel the games due to the weather.

It's an opportunity for players to relax with a drink, have some lunch and watch the racing on TV in lieu of playing cricket.

Anyone wanting more details or to check on what's happening during the afternoon should ring Ryan Fairclough on 0404 015 114.
