Appointments: Our First Eleven Captain & our Coach
The Moonee Valley Cricket Club is pleased to announce its coach and First Eleven captain for the 2008/09 07GauciMark 5cm

season.

Lou Raffaele has been reappointed coach after taking on the role in 2007/08, while Mark Gauci (right) has been appointed First Eleven captain for the fourth year.

Applications have been called for the captains of our other senior teams, and the applicants are now in the process of being interviewed.

President Graeme “Charlie” Walker said the committee was pleased that the reappointments of Lou and Mark would ensure stability at the Club.

“Last season Lou was our fourth coach in three years, and it was important that we were able to get some continuity,” he said.

“The Club has moved quickly in the off-season to appoint our coach and Firsts captain, and that will enable us to commence early in planning the next season and ensuring that our players know what is expected of them.”
