Call for captains

Moonee Valley Cricket Club is now calling for captains for its senior teams for the 2012/13 season.

Apart from the First Eleven - Mark Gauci was reappointed last month - we need applications for the skipper jobs for the Seconds through to the Eighths.

We have entered the following senior teams for the coming season:

Second Eleven - two-day cricket playing home games on Ormond turf on Saturdays.

Thirds - two-day cricket playing Sunday home games on Ormond turf and Saturday away games.

Fourths - two-day cricket playing Sunday home games on the synthetic Ormond East ground and mainly Saturday away games.

Fifths - two-day Sunday grade playing home games at Ormond turf on Sundays.

Sixths - two-day Saturday cricket, playing home games on the synthetic Ormond East ground.

Sevenths - one-day Saturday cricket, playing home games on the synthetic Ormond East ground.

Eighths - one-day Sunday cricket, playing home games at Debney Park.

We expect to make the appointments in early September.
