Feast of finals for Moonee Valley

There's a feast of finals coming up for Moonee Valley Cricket Club this weekend, with 13 of our senior and junior teams having won through to the end-of-season action.

We've got play on Saturday and Sunday, with Monday in some cases as reserve day if required.

And don't forget our Most Valuable Player night on Sunday, March 7 - across at the bowling club rooms from 8pm, with tickets at $55 a head or $100 a double, or $20 for juniors. The ticket covers a meal, drinks and a band for entertainment. And we'll be counting the votes in the final rounds of both the Fieldlow Awards and MVP for the seniors, presenting the MVP medals and presenting about 40 milestone trophies - 50 and 100 games, 50 and 100 wickets, 1000 and 2000 runs, centuries and five wicket hauls. So it should be a great night.

And we will be hoping that the weekend action on the field will give us even more reason to celebrate. It's an incredible effort to get 13 sides through to the finals, so we at Moonee Valley have a lot to be proud of.
