40th anniversary - details of our Function

We're celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Moonee Valley Cricket Club this season, with a gala dinner and entertainment on Saturday, January 28.

Our great Club was formed in 1971, and we have a lot of success and a lot of great memories to mark with the anniversary.

Your Club is keen for as many present and past players, partners and supporters to attend as possible to mark this moment in our history.

It will also give us all the chance to acknowledge the career (still going) of Life Member, long-standing Past President and Moonee Valley legend Darren "Spud" Nagle, who earlier this season became the first MVCC player to reach 300 games.

We have booked Happy Receptions, at 199 Union Rd, Ascot Vale for January 28. They do an excellent Chinese banquet.

Admission is $70 per head, and $60 for under-18s. The price covers the meal, plus beer, wine and soft drinks.
